We visited Calcutta Retro Place for the first time on the lunch, and it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was both classy and nostalgic, creating the perfect setting. The dining attendants were courteous and attentive throughout. And the food—absolutely amazing! Every dish was a burst of flavor, truly a foodgasmic experience.

Loved this place. Staffs are really good. The food !!:) it's lovely . If u r around saltlake, u can hop in here for some bengali delicacy. Gondhoraj kathi murgi is a must try

Food was amazing. The Chitol peti (which was not there in the menu) was really tasty. Mr. Sanjiv and the other servers were very gracious and wonderful with their hospitality. We ordered the Ginger chatpata, Piyara Kasundi, Gondhoraj kathi murgi, Valentino Prawns, Murshidabadi Murgir Pulao, Chitol macher peti rost, Fish meuniere, and Garlic naan.

Loved each and everything about this place, they welcome us very nicely. As we booked our table through zomato we got special welcome drink. Foods were lovely. The staff behavior was also nice they waited for us to finish everything that we were requesting them. Very neat decoration, touch of old kolkata, chandeliers everything is lovely. As we went on weekdays so it was bit of empty, good free road side parking without any hassle. Must visit.

We had our first dinner at Calcutta Retro Place on 15th July 2025, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. The ambiance beautifully blended vintage charm with elegance, setting the stage for a relaxed evening. The staff were warm, professional, and made us feel well taken care of from the moment we arrived. As for the food—each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with bold, authentic flavors. It was a feast for the senses and an absolute treat for any food lover!

I visited this restaurant with my family for lunch. We had a great experience here. The food was amazing. I specially recommend the Dab Chingri here. The look and feel of the restaurant is amazing. It gives you old Kolkata vibes in Salt Lake If you are around Saltlake Sector 1, you can come visit this place for sure.

We were a group of 7 and opted for the lunch buffet priced at ₹999 plus taxes. The service was prompt and courteous, the food tasted great with a good variety, and the ambience was pleasant and comfortable. Overall, a satisfying dining experience!
